Our Services

Labor Law

We represent local unions throughout Northern Minnesota in contract negotiations, arbitrations, and representation disputes. We advocate for our union clients before labor arbitrators, federal and state agencies (including the National Labor Relations Board), and Federal and State courts.

Estate Planning

Estate planning is the process of planning your affairs so that upon incapacity or death, your wishes are more likely to be put into effect smoothly and economically. The details of your estate plan will depend on your situation and your intentions but often will include documents like wills and trusts, health care directives (sometimes called “living wills”), powers of attorney, and beneficiary designations.

Employee Benefits

We represent trust funds jointly sponsored by labor unions and participating employers including pension, health and welfare, apprenticeship and training, supplemental unemployment, and labor management cooperation committees. We work closely in this complex field with boards of trustees and other plan professionals and strive to give practical and timely advice on how to manage these trust funds in compliance with the law and in the best interest of their plan participants.

Long-term Care Planning & Elder Law

We can provide answers about Medical Assistance (MA) and other programs that pay for assisted living and nursing home costs (such as veteran benefits, Medicare, and insurance). We help you plan for how your finances and health would be handled if you were to become incapacitated. These may include health care directives, powers of attorney, trusts, and if necessary, the Court guardianship/ conservatorship process).

Covid-19 Safety and Precautions

The Andrew, Bransky & Poole law firm has taken precautions to protect our clients, ourselves, and our families during the Covid-19 pandemic. Our office is open to the public and, if you are fully vaccinated, we do not require masking, though we may request masking at certain times. We are happy to conduct our meetings in person or via Zoom or Skype. We frequently use Conference Room 510 on the fifth floor of the Lonsdale Building (just two floors up from our office) to provide adequate space for distancing.

As always, if you have symptoms of illness, we ask that you stay home and take care of yourself. We’ll be happy to reschedule the meeting or make it virtual.

If you have any questions, please contact us.
